Desertfest 2015 - Sleep, Orange Goblin and My Sleeping Karma confirmed

Everybody has their diary open for April 2015, right?

"Desertfest 2015 is back and off with bang.! Sleep will headline Koko as the finale of the fest and it’s just the very start of what will be the biggest line up we have ever pulled together. More bands, more venues, more shit kicking, filth hurling riffs than your ears will be able to endure.

Desertfest was created by music lovers for music lovers, totally independent, totally underground and going strong thanks to all of your support. Let’s drink beer, bang heads and let the games begin..."

Orange Goblin are preparing a couple of special 20th anniversary shows for London and Berlin. They will play their acclaimed third album ‘The Big Black’ in its entirety for the first time ever alongside a selection of songs from their back catalogue that have either rarely or NEVER been played live before! There are also plans for a very special production/light show in both London and Berlin, making this a once-in-a-lifetime, must-see Orange Goblin experience! More info here

CS Grupetto Open Track Meet, Herne Hill Velodrome, 6th September

The 2014 CS Grupetto Open Track Meeting will be taking place on Saturday 6th Spetember at Herne Hill Velodrome.

This is our fourth year hosting a race meeting as part of the Herne Hill Open Series, and we hope to bring back the same atmosphere we had last year! Except this year there will be more salami's, and a bigger cheese.

A big thank you to our main sponsors - -Look Mum No Hands

2013 sees the re-introduction of the 'Roadmans 25' as the final race of the meet with cash prizes and multiple primes, this is open to male and female riders with podium prizes and primes for both.

We like to include sprint events on our programme so this year we will be doing team sprints. This event is pre-entry only. We have eight spaces available for men, and four for women, possibly more depending on interest. The two teams with the fastest times going through to a a final, with the winner taking home the coveted CS Grupetto 2 kilo salami!
Entries can be submitted to grupetto.entries@gmail.com

Of course we will also be running the standard bunch races, with a scratch, points, win-out, and 20k (multiple prizes) open to all racers.

With a £700 cash prize pot, giant salami's, over-sized cheese, beer, and other secret prizes from friends of the club , this is surely not to be missed!

After the racers have had their fun, we shall all decamp to the Prince Regent on Dulwich Road, to discuss our illustrious wins, epic failures, and mid-table obscurity.
