Tibidabo Hill Climb 2014 - November 29th, Barcelona

The Tibidabo Hill Climb will take place on November 29th this year, ascending 320 meters over 5.4Km. Includes a Fixed ad Single speed category and a Free-Ride category for any other bike.

The Marymoor Crawl - Slow Race/Fast Race

This is pretty fun! Riders start on turn 4 and are not allowed to cross the start/finish line until the bell rings. The bell could ring anytime between 3-4 minutes from the start and riders are teased with cash to the front. Riders are not allowed to interfere with each other, hold the rail, put a foot down etc.
Once the bell rings is a flat out 1 lap sprint!

Registration is now open for RHC Milano #5, which will take place on October 11th. Head on over to the website, pay your monies and get your name down.

Race Details:
- Separate Men and Women’s fields
- 24 laps (1.27 km per lap) / total distance of 26,5 km (Men)
- 18 laps (1.27 km per lap) / total distance of 20 km (Women)
- Timed qualifying format to set 85 rider starting grid
- Electronic timing and scoring
- Track bikes required
- Lapped riders eliminated
- Points awarded towards the Red Hook Criterium Championship
- Qualifying positions 86 – 150 line up for a 14-lap ‘Last Chance Race’. The top-10 finishers will advance into the main event.

Rig Bike Shop, West Regent Street, Glasgow

So I was recently in Glasgow for work purposes and ended up with some time to kill before flying back to London, so off I wandered, under a glorious clear sky, across the city center...
It wasn't too long before a bike chained to a post with an advertising board directed me up the hill to a bike shop set in the basement under a rollerskate shop.
This is Rig bike shop, 141 West Regent Street, Glasgow, G2 2SG, catering mostly for the Fixed Gear, Track and Messenger orientated. Rig is friendly staffed with a tidy selection of both new and secondhand frames, components and merch to browse through and a great indie vibe. The store has been open for around 3 years, but if you're new to the area or just passing by you're unlikely to come across its location by a web search. But it's well worth a call in, have a good chat and pick up a store shirt!

David Millar Vs Liam Phillips Vs The World - Parkour Ride, London, 4th October 2014

Parkour Ride will kick off in just under a months time and David Millar will be joining in the fun!
 " I'll be racing @ParkourRide Oct 4th in London, it's a little different to the Vuelta"
(He said it on Twitter, it must be true!)




Parkour Ride is a multi-discipline head-to-head elimination race with two riders racing a special circuit up and down the multi-storey car park. The event space will vary across every level, featuring different spectator attractions, music, food stalls and bars around the circuit. Technology, sound and video will be harnessed to create a unique audio/visual experience for fans and riders.

Parkour Ride is open to male and female riders on all kinds of bikes. The main disciplines will be BMX, mountain bike and road bike (including fixed gear/single speed).

Riders will line up against Parkour Ride pros. Pros include Parkour Ride ambassador and World BMX Champion, Liam Phillips, plus stars from the worlds of BMX, mountain bike, track and road.

the Circuit is going to be like this. Should be simple enough going up, but pretty tight turns at speed coming down. The Parkour Ride winner will receive £2000 & the top 10 riders will receive prizes from the race partners and sponsors.

New 2015 Cinelli Mash Histogram, Vigorelli and Gazzetta

New paint jobs and a tapered headtube for the Mash and Vigorelli have been announced for the 2015 lineup from Cinelli. The Garrett Chow designed Mash is more minimalistic than we have seen in previous years, with the all important colouring kept to the inside of the stays.
The Vigorelli keeps the Caleido and Black paints of last year, but also sees the upgrade to a tapered headtube whilst the Gazzetta framesets will also be available in matt black going forward.

Tunnel Sprints, Bristol, 13th September

This year's tunnel sprints will be taking place on the 13th Sept on the Bristol / Bath cycle path. Fixed only! Bring your big legs and huge gear inches! (or just spectate and get drunk in a dark tunnel with glow sticks)

CS Grupetto Open Track Meet, Herne Hill Velodrome, 6th September

The 2014 CS Grupetto Open Track Meeting will be taking place on Saturday 6th Spetember at Herne Hill Velodrome.

This is our fourth year hosting a race meeting as part of the Herne Hill Open Series, and we hope to bring back the same atmosphere we had last year! Except this year there will be more salami's, and a bigger cheese.

2013 sees the re-introduction of the 'Roadmans 25' as the final race of the meet with cash prizes and multiple primes, this is open to male and female riders with podium prizes and primes for both.

We like to include sprint events on our programme so this year we will be doing team sprints. This event is pre-entry only. We have eight spaces available for men, and four for women, possibly more depending on interest. The two teams with the fastest times going through to a a final, with the winner taking home the coveted CS Grupetto 2 kilo salami!

Of course we will also be running the standard bunch races, with a scratch, points, win-out, and 20k (multiple prizes) open to all racers.

After the racers have had their fun, we shall all decamp to the Prince Regent on Dulwich Road, to discuss our illustrious wins, epic failures, and mid-table obscurity.
